This authentic U.S. military surplus Spare Barrel Carrying Case is a rugged, reliable solution for transporting and protecting spare barrels, small firearms, collapsible rifles, or even handheld shotguns. Originally designed for the M60 machine gun during the Vietnam era, it’s built to withstand tough conditions and offers versatile storage for gear enthusiasts, collectors, and outdoor users alike. Based on markings on the ones we have, they were used for M240s and M249s, presumably just the barrels.

Key Features:

Durable Construction: Made from heavy-duty rubberized vinyl material in sorta OD green or sorta brown, ensuring water resistance and long-lasting protection against the elements.

Convenient Design: Features a large main zipper compartment for your primary item, plus two external zippered pockets for storing accessories like tools, cleaning kits, or ammo. We found suppressors go well in these, especially for sub guns

Easy Portability: Originally these would have included a sturdy nylon shoulder strap for comfortable over-the-shoulder carrying during hikes, range trips, or field operations. However, Private Snuffy wanted that nice heavy padded strap for his M240 or M249, and the straps are replaced with another strap of some sort, or with paracord, or just flat out missing. So you may get an OG strap (unlikely), or some sort of replacement, or no strap. May the odds always be in your favor.

Compact Size: Measures approximately 29 inches long by 11 inches at the widest point, providing ample space without unnecessary bulk.

As military surplus, these cases range wildly from “rough” to minor signs of wear from previous use. We’ll keep an eye out for obviously broken zippers, but we can’t guarantee anything at these prices.
