The MINIMO reactive target system provides the honesty of paper targets with the instant feedback of steel, with no manual reset required. Each hit to the reactive portions (head and vitals) hides or presents the head as a target. Weight 35 lbs. Dimensions (12″ x 24″ x 6″). You’ll need to decide how you are mounting this when you purchase it, and potentially buy a stand system.

The MINIMO reactive target system provides the honesty of paper targets with the instant feedback of steel, with no manual reset required. Each hit to the reactive portions (head and vitals) hides or presents the head as a target.
The roughly 4.5×4.5 inch head section falls behind the torso when hit. The five inch diameter vital section swings to reset the fallen head when hit, and then returns to the ready position. Thusly, one can shoot the head, visually confirm the fallen head, and shoot the vitals to reset the head. Hits can be confirmed with no spotter by the position of the reset head. If you don’t hit the head or vitals, you get a dull smack instead of a satisfying clunk.
Patterned directly from the fully semi automatic reset MOA Mozambique, the Mini MO is designed to be used for solo or paired intermediate range rifle and pistol shooting. While the big brother Mozambique was designed for full power rifle loads at 150-500 yards, the Mini MO shines with standard pistols like 9x19mm at 12 yards, and light rifles loads like the .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm, common AR15 calibers (100 yard minimum, 150 recommended).
A minimum of 250 ft/lbs of energy at the target is required to reliably reset the target, maximum 2,000 ft/lb at the target for reliable function. Check your ballistics charts before you complain things aren’t working right. If it turns out they aren’t working right, please contact MOA Targets. Abuse of the target by utilizing steel core, steel jacket, tracer, or AP ammo will, as always, void any and all warranty and cause us to shake our collective heads in disbelief.
The MINIMO is constructed of laser cut 3/8″ AR500 steel for the target surfaces, and 1/4″ steel for the hinge mechanism. Carriage bolts and appropriate hardware are provided to assemble the target. A user provided vertical 2×4″ holds the target upright. No stand is provided, but options are available, details below.
Standard mounting bracket fits a slip in 2×4″ upright board (user provided)
T-Post mounting bracket fits a standard t-post upright (user provided)
Advanced 3″ angle/armor bracket fits user provided 3″ angle iron (0.25″) or MOA Targets Armored Upright made of 1/2″ AR400F formed upright
Optional 3/16″ AR400 rimfire rated torso/head paddles are available to cycle reliably with rimfire, from 22LR subsonic 40gr to 17HMR.
Check the Related Products links below for options for stands/bases/frames to mount your target system, if you don’t want to provide your own.
We typically use our Modular Base or Battle Born Base with 2×4″s when we are shooting the MINIMO.
MOA Targets A-frame brackets (AFB2x4) make a great mounting solution with a couple ways to mount the MINIMO in the field.
The T-post option is cheap, simple, and durable until it isn’t, but doesn’t work well in rocky ground and may be a pain for users who have to pack up at the end of the day, as removing a torn up t-post can be an adventure. If you slice your hands up trying to get a shredded t-post out of the ground, don’t blame us, we hate the things.
If you shoot with a bunch of crummy shots, and don’t like occasionally replacing 2x4s, consider upgrading to the armored upright and stand, made of formed 1/4″ AR400, sufficient to withstand rifle hits at 100 yards. You’ll need to contact us for that, it’s $175 plus UPS shipping on the base/upright (about 50 lbs). Just drop us an email or put a note in the comments for us to call and discuss.

This is by far my favorite target. I have the rimfire plates for them and regularly use it with rimfire/pistol and at range with rifle. The target is really adaptive and can be used for tons of scenarios. Its all self resetting so you can easily see what you are hitting without the reset time.
Matthew Sipe –
The single best reactive target for challenging skill level. Great for the home range or shooting club. No going downrange to reset each time.

I have owned this for several years and before this new website.
This is a great (and sometimes frustrating) target system. The steel is great and the misses give instant feedback. My unit has survived a couple of Cola Warrior events with only needing to replace the carriage bolts.
I suggest everyone buy one and train with it.

Love the minimo. Bought one for our local range and use it every chance I get. Solidly built and easy to assemble.
Joe Sanders –
Challenging target and holds up to extreme use. Even survives being under water.

I’ve had one of these for years and it has held up very well. The mechanism for reset is simple yet effective and has been robust enough to endure a range of calibers as well as use in matches. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Just got done shooting a competition with a Minimo. There were three responses when we learned there was one there.
What’s that?
Oh, crap!
And HELL YEAH!!!!
This reactive target requires solid hits. There is no cheating.
I love it.
Marc Schaffer –
Great target . It rewards accuracy and hits with a solid visual result.
Laura The Hippy –
Excellent paper weight/door stop. I’ve had mine almost 6 years now and have only lost one toenail tripping over it.
I still haven’t shot my own MiniMo, but have shot other people’s effectively. My favorite thing to witness when other people shoot my MiniMo is “I heard the hit on steel, why don’t you call my hit??” when they hit the frame.
Makes an excellent Christmas gift to other people who also don’t shoot their own targets either. 10/10 would recommend.

The minimo is harsh but fair made into a steel target system, it gives impact feedback on misses and instant hit confirmation with the paddle system.

Have my minimo setup at 50yards and it keeps everyone humble with their shooting. Great to have the immediate feedback of did I hit that where I’m supposed to?
Tim Cone –
I’ve had my feelings hurt enough by this thing enough at matches that I bought my own so I can see how much I suck whenever I want. Or maybe get better. Whichever. Buy one and stop missing.

This is the single most frustrating target on Earth to make hits on when you’re tired, dirty, exhausted, and shaking from doing obstacles and a half mile run. I hate it. I also love it. Its built like a brick shit house too.

This target is diabolical. Works great with the T post adapter as well, so be sure to inquire about that! Makes setup and take down at our semi-private range a breeze. This target is not for the plebs or the faint of heart! At 25+ yards it’ll expose your failures as a pistol shooter for sure!
