The MINIMO reactive target system provides the honesty of paper targets with the instant feedback of steel, with no manual reset required. Each hit to the reactive portions (head and vitals) hides or presents the head as a target.
The roughly 4.5×4.5 inch head section falls behind the torso when hit. The five inch diameter vital section swings to reset the fallen head when hit, and then returns to the ready position. Thusly, one can shoot the head, visually confirm the fallen head, and shoot the vitals to reset the head. Hits can be confirmed with no spotter by the position of the reset head. If you don’t hit the head or vitals, you get a dull smack instead of a satisfying clunk.
Patterned directly from the fully semi automatic reset MOA Mozambique, the Mini MO is designed to be used for solo or paired intermediate range rifle and pistol shooting. While the big brother Mozambique was designed for full power rifle loads at 150-500 yards, the Mini MO shines with standard pistols like 9x19mm at 12 yards, and light rifles loads like the .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm, common AR15 calibers (100 yard minimum, 150 recommended).
A minimum of 250 ft/lbs of energy at the target is required to reliably reset the target, maximum 2,000 ft/lb at the target for reliable function. Check your ballistics charts before you complain things aren’t working right. If it turns out they aren’t working right, please contact MOA Targets. Abuse of the target by utilizing steel core, steel jacket, tracer, or AP ammo will, as always, void any and all warranty and cause us to shake our collective heads in disbelief.
The MINIMO is constructed of laser cut 3/8″ AR500 steel for the target surfaces, and 1/4″ steel for the hinge mechanism. Carriage bolts and appropriate hardware are provided to assemble the target. A user provided vertical 2×4″ holds the target upright. No stand is provided, but options are available, details below.
Optional 3/16″ AR400 rimfire rated torso/head paddles are available to cycle reliably with rimfire, from 22LR subsonic 40gr to 17HMR.
The MOA Targets Modular Base (MOD-B) uses four shorty (3-4′ long) client provided 2x4s to mount the MINIMO system.
MOA Targets A-frame brackets (AFB2x4) make a great mounting solution with a couple ways to mount the MINIMO in the field.
If you shoot with a bunch of crummy shots, and don’t like occasionally replacing 2x4s, consider upgrading to the armored upright and stand, made of formed 1/4″ AR400, sufficient to withstand rifle hits at 100 yards. You’ll need to contact us for that, it’s $175 plus UPS shipping on the base/upright (about 50 lbs). Just drop us an email or put a note in the comments for us to call and discuss.

This is by far my favorite target. I have the rimfire plates for them and regularly use it with rimfire/pistol and at range with rifle. The target is really adaptive and can be used for tons of scenarios. Its all self resetting so you can easily see what you are hitting without the reset time.
