MOA’s take on the Texas Star, or “sideways spinney thing from hell” is the Red Neck Star (RNS). Constructed of 3/8″ AR500 steel, with a solid 1″ steel pivot shaft, automotive bearings, and a one piece construction hub, MOA’s RNS is a modular step beyond the norm. This five paddle target system is designed for use with all pistols at 12 yards, and all shootable areas other than the stand and upright are constructed of 3/8” AR500. If desired for rifle use (100 yard minimum), it is highly recommended you upgrade the stand and upright to MOA’s formed AR400 system. We take 1/4” AR400, laser cut it, and throw it in a press break and make hardened angle iron out of it. At 100 yards, the hardened system is full capable of taking direct hits from rifles.

Our simple retention system for the paddles can be done one handed, simply reversing the motion the paddle makes when shot loose. Spring tension is user adjustable to allow for wear on the system, or to really screw that buddy who’s too good at shooting these things. Comes with 6″ diameter paddles. Contact us for a quote on custom paddle shapes.

This system is suitable for home use or competition, and will probably outlast your firearm. MOA’s unique no weld assembly system means, even if you do screw up and break something, you can simply bolt the new part on. Ships via USPS.

DIY – all the laser cut parts, the hardware, and the spindle and hub. You’re on your own for figuring out a base and upright, and how to attach the spindle to them. Cheaper than us doing it, and shipping will be cheaper as well. We’ll send you an assembly guide if you remind us.

Simple reset of star

PS – We should have mentioned this before, but it’s our understanding that Terry Ashton in Texas came up with the first Texas Star
